Worthy of a Michelin star. We went twice in three days and did not regret our return for a second. Clearly sourced raw ingredients meticulously prepared with a view to presentation as well as taste: faultless execution on both fronts. Service was of the best customer-customer service kind - run by a charming young husband and wife team, both friendly and discrete. We are already planning our return visit next year! Worth the pilgrimage to Montenero!

We had a fantastic diner at Fonta del Penitente. Lovely couple that prepares the food with so much passion it makes you smile! Nice wines that go with the food, and lively explanation of the food by the young owner's wife, who we forgot to ask her name.. Enjoy if you can make it there! Cheers!

Loved it. So lucky we got a table there. The food is spectacular, we got a huge seafood tray. So good! Romanic atmosphere. Wonderful, professional and kind service. I really liked the music

Have been to this pretty hiding place a few times now and loved so far all the food, dishes and wines served. Found all fish and pasta dishes outstanding, very well arranged and thoughtfully put together. The prices seem to be in norm. Would suggest this place with its lovely discreet and attentively staff to anyone who loves to enjoy well done food in a nice, smaller, therefore very cosy environment.

What a lovely restaurant! We had delicious food in a beautiful setting with a lovely bottle of wine. It wasn't cheap but it was good value for what we had.
